We’re Hiring!

The Brown Pusey House is looking for a Part-Time Office Manager (approximately 28 hours per week) to join our team!

We’re seeking someone who is:

Proficient in QuickBooks Online

Highly Organized and detail-oriented

A self-starter who enjoys working in a historic, community-focused environment.

This position plays an important role in keeping the Brown Pusey House running smoothly—from managing financial records to supporting our events and rentals.

Thank you, Community!

Our September Gala, “A Night In Old Hollywood,” was a success! We raised more than $87,000 to add a handicap accessible bathroom to the Brown-Pusey House!

While that may seem more than enough to build a bathroom, we do face special issues due to the age and historic elements of the House. We also need more storage! So we are working to achieve both at once.

We have a preliminary design now but we are still waiting on the cost. We have had casual, off-the-top-of-the-head estimates of $100,000-150,000. Our current focus is to add two bathrooms plus storage on the patio area on the west side of the ballroom. We would have to relocate the fountain and the millstone there (plus Judge Holbert’s stone.) We also have to ensure this addition connects appropriately to the House and the back of the Museum.

The site is currently laid with uneven stones and we rarely ever see anyone back there.

Our Executive Director, LeAnne Perkins, has some more cool events up her sleeve, so stay tuned. More fun to come!!!

Come Meet LeAnne!

061125 leanne reception invite — Invitation for a Brown-Pusey House reception for the new Executive Director, LeAnne Perkins.

We are thrilled to have LeAnne Perkins as the new Executive Director of the Brown-Pusey House! She’s full of ideas and energy, and we are excited to have her.

So we’re hosting a reception to welcome her.

Join us Monday, June 23, from 4-6 p.m. at the House, 128 N. Main St. in Elizabethtown, to meet LeAnne and welcome her aboard as our new Executive Director.

We will have light hors d’oeuvres and mocktails for you to enjoy. We hope you will share with LeAnne your thoughts about the House and its role in our community – and learn about her ties to it as well.

We believe LeAnne will be a great asset to our 200-year-old House as we look to the future.
